DO YOU OFFER HALAL OPTIONS?
Yes, we’re pleased to offer halal empanadas to meet our customers' dietary needs. Our halal certified products carry the ISNA Halal certification seal on our packaging.
ARE THERE VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE?
Yes, our Vegana empanada is 100% plant-based.
DO YOUR EMPANADAS CONTAIN ANY COMMON ALLERGENS?
Our empanadas are made in a facility that processes wheat, dairy, and eggs, so please check our ingredient and nutrition fact table carefully if you have allergies. Feel free to contact us with any specific allergy concerns.
ARE YOUR EMPANADAS COOKED OR RAW?
The fillings are pre-cooked, but the empanada dough remains raw. This ensures that when you bake them, you get a fresh, golden-brown crust right out of the oven.

At this time, all empanadas come in packs of six by flavour.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY EMPANADAS?
For the best quality, keep your empanadas frozen until you're ready to cook them. They should be stored in the freezer at or below 0°F (-18°C).
DO MY EMPANADAS HAVE A BEST BEFORE DATE?
No, our frozen empanadas do not require a “Best Before” date. According to Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations, “Durable Life” dating is only required for products with a shelf life of less than 90 days. Since our product must remain frozen until consumption, they have a shelf life longer than 90 days.
HOW DO I BAKE MY EMPANADAS?
Our empanadas are simple to prepare! Preheat your oven, toaster oven, or air fryer to the recommended temperature on the packaging, and bake the empanadas from frozen until golden brown. Check the packaging for specific instructions on cook time and temperature.

DO WE DELIVER?
Yes, we offer next-delivery for online orders within the Durham Region. Simply select the “Delivery” option at checkout to see if your location is within our delivery range. Each delivery is subject to a delivery fee calculated on range.
CAN I PICK UP MY ONLINE ORDER?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
WHY WAS I CHARGED GST/HST ON MY ORDER?
At the time of your purchase, GST/HST was mistakenly applied to our frozen empanadas. Recently, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) confirmed that our frozen empanadas are zero-rated as basic groceries, meaning they are not subject to GST/HST when sold in frozen form.
AM I ELIGIBILE FOR A REBATE?
Yes, if you purchased our frozen empanadas and were charged GST/HST in error, you are eligible for a rebate from the CRA.
To apply for a rebate, complete the CRA’s Form GST189,General Application for GST/HST Rebates. You can submit this form directly to the CRA within two years of the date you paid the tax.
When completing Form GST189, be sure to include proof of purchase, such as your receipt showing the GST/HST charged, and specify that the rebate is for tax paid in error on a zero-rated item.
Form GST189 is available on the CRA’s official website. Follow the instructions on the form, and submit it to the CRA for processing.
The CRA allows a two-year window to apply for a rebate on GST/HST paid in error. Be sure to submit your application within this period from the date of your purchase.
